IVARC DMR Repeater on 8 Dollar

Craig 605A

ED, Senior Technical Advisor
Board Member
This repeater was purchased with State of Oregon Grant funds. On 2/7/2026 the DMR repeater is working
Hopefully this week Steve and IVARC will install a DMR repeater on 8 Dollar Mountain in Selma. I will keep this post updated.
This is an open DMR only repeater; HAM license and a DMR radio is required.
It is a stand-alone repeater.
No internet or linked connections at this time.

Any particular talkgroup ID that folks are using for local traffic on timeslots 1/2? Guessing might be TG9 or TG1, but there's really no standard :D

Hi welcome to the party.
The repeater is not connected to the internet; there are no talk groups. If you want to hear anyone on a slot set your radio ID to (all call) and your contact to your ID and (all call) the repeater will act as an analog repeater you will hear and talk to all call, private and Groupe calls
IF you want to make a (private call) you will need the ID number of that radio you are calling and all settings to private. My radio ID is 3212091. All my DMR radios have the same (radio ID)
Text messages when sent private mode they are private.
Talk Groupe contact settings, My settings
HOME = my radio ID (all call) to talk to anyone on the repeater.
HOME1= my radio ID (Private call) to talk my radios and send text only to my radios.
Name= there radio ID. (Private call) to make a call only to that person/radio.

Great job Steve WA6YSM, Jim AA7CL, and Craig KE6SFP getting the repeater up and running. So grateful to have Craig as our Senior Technical Advisor, he makes it seem easy! You guys rock!
